Sagelight is a successful and powerful photo editing package which is related to its freeware cousin, the Lightbox Free Image Editor.
This fully-featured graphics editor can do many different things, and among the over 50 different functions and tasks that Sagelight performs are typical blur/sharpen, artistic effects you might be able to pull off with Adobe Photoshop and other professional-level filters. All of the effects can be applied to a variety of different images, not limited to JPEGs from digital photo apparatus.
Using Sagelight provides some stunning results and whether the person using the program is a beginner or a seasoned user of photo editing programs, it definitely doesn't let down with its loads of features. A lot of the things that Sagelight does provide is indeed geared towards professionals, but it also provides an easy-to-use interface which is inviting to new users.
With regards to new users, Sagelight provides all kinds of different user tutorials which makes it easy to learn how to do many cool things to your images.
In terms of system resources, Sagelight uses very little for the features that it provides; that is if you were editing the same photo with Adobe Photoshop with the same effects as if you had Sagelight fired up, you would notice that Sagelight uses your CPU and system memory much more efficiently.
While sadly Sagelight isn't a replacement of expensive photo editing suites like Corel or Adobe, it does provide a great resource to perform touching up and improvements to your existing photographs.Sagelight features and highlights:
